Resignation of archbishop of Korhogo, Cote d’Ivoire

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the archdiocese of Korhogo, Cote d’Ivoire, presented by H.E. Msgr. Marie-Daniel Dadiet.

The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese of Luçon, France, presented by H.E. Msgr. Alain Castet.

 

Appointment of apostolic nuncio in Finland

The Holy Father has appointed as apostolic nuncio in Finland H.E. Msgr. James Patrick Green, titular archbishop of Altino, apostolic nuncio in Sweden, Iceland and Denmark.

 

Appointment of auxiliary of Miami, U.S.A.

The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary bishop of Miami, United States of America, the Rev. Enrique Delgado, of the clergy of the same archdiocese, currently pastor of the “Saint Katherine Drexel” parish in Weston, assigning him the titular see of Acque Nuove di Proconsolare.

Rev. Enrique Delgado

The Rev. Enrique Delgado was born on 26 December 1955 in Lima, Perù, in the same archdiocese. He studied at the University of Lima and obtained a master’s degree in economics with specialisation in “Finance and Accounting” (1982). He worked for some years a as manager in Perù. He transferred to the United States where he was accepted as a seminarian in the archdiocese of Miami, Florida, carrying out his ecclesiastical studies in the “Saint John Vianney College” seminary in Miami (1991) and the “Saint Vincent de Paul” seminary in Boynton Beach (1996). He subsequently obtained a doctorate in practical theology from the “Saint Thomas University in Miami Gardens (2015).

He was ordained a priest for the archdiocese of Miami on 29 June 1996.

Since priestly ordination he has held the following offices: vicar of the “Saint Agnes” parish in Key Biscayne (1996-1999) and of the “Nativity” parish in Hollywood (1999-2003), and pastor of the “Saint Justin Martyr” parish in Key Largo (2003-2010) and the “Saint Katherine Drexel” parish in Weston (since 2010).
